Admiring the DC baseball corner of the Ortman Family Fan Cave wearing my game-used number 42 Nationals jersey. It was worn by pitcher Kyle Finnegan on Jackie Robinson Day 2020 which was moved from April 15 to August 28 because of the coronavirus pandemic. The date marked the 75th anniversary of the day Jackie Robinson and Branch Rickey first met to discuss Robinson’s possible future with the Dodgers, and the 57th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the March on Washington which Robinson attended.
